The author uses archaeological and paleoenvironmental evidence to reconstruct synchronic and evolutionary aspects of the cultural ecology of the prehistoric inhabitants of southern Jordan.This study exemplifies that cultural historic and processual approaches are integral to examining prehistoric cultural ecology.
